Third year Computer science modules.

Third year modules for Computer science student at UCT;
1st semester I did 3 modules;
1. Operating System lectured by Prof Ken MacGregor
2. Networks by Prof Pieter Kritzinger
3. XML and Web services by Dr Hussein Suleiman
2nd semester I did another 3 modules;
1. Database by Prof Sonia Berman
2. Compilers by Dr Anet Potgieter and Dr Hussein Suleiman
3. Analysis of Algorithms by Dr Michelle Kuttel and Prof Sonia Berman
Discussion;
-> Most Interesting module?
I think XML by Hussein, Database by Sonia, Compilers by Hussein and Algorithms by Michelle were interesting modules of this course. But if I have to choose one I will pick Database by Sonia. I simply loved this part of the course. Its application in real world is massive and I wouldn’t mind work as DBA at some stage of my carrier.
-> Least Interesting module? (boring module)
This is a hard one as most of these modules were very interesting and I enjoyed most of them. But the trust remains there must be a one which was boring and if I real have to pick one, I would pick Operating System by Prof Ken MacGregor. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that bad because we learn some interesting stuff there it’s just was my least favorite among the modules I did. And Prof didn’t help much to make it interesting. But their practical exercises were nice and even the questions in the exam and tests were very nice.

Comments are welcome; tell me what you’re most and least interesting module was.
